Sub-Contracting
On the ground. On the tools.
ONETEC is the behind-the-scenes technical arm for telecommunications providers and national brands — including work for Telstra, Optus and national retail chains — delivering the onsite work they cannot cover internally, under their name, to their standard.
Carriers and national chains have field work that scales unevenly: a store refit here, a rollout of two hundred sites there, a fault in a town nobody has a technician near. Keeping permanent staff for that peak is expensive, and leaving it uncovered costs trading hours.
We work as an experienced temporary workforce for exactly that gap — provisioning carrier services, installing networks, standing up POS and EFTPOS, and putting in the in-store media that makes a site look open for business.

What this covers
The capability depends on the site and equipment involved; these are the areas ONETEC can assess, install and support.
Carrier and network services
- Telco provisioning — activating, configuring and supporting carrier services for business sites
- Network installation — routers, switches, Wi-Fi, structured cabling and patching
Retail systems
- POS setup — terminals, scanners, receipt printers and back-office connectivity
- EFTPOS deployment — terminals, secure network paths and payment-system integration
Media and security
- Media system installation — in-store music, digital signage and content distribution
- CCTV & intercom deployment, integrated cleanly into the site network
Faults and replacements
- Carrier fault resolution — onsite troubleshooting for internet, voice, SIP, NBN and mobile
- Hardware replacement — modems, routers, POS units, EFTPOS terminals and media players
From requirement to completion
- 1Scope the rollout
Site list, the work required at each one, the equipment involved and the window it has to happen in.
- 2Deploy the workforce
Experienced technicians attend as your onsite installers, working to your process and reporting against your job numbers.
- 3Close out and report
Each site is tested, documented and signed off, with faults escalated back through your channels rather than left open.
